PURPOSE

• To help ensure the spiritual, program, and financial integrity of the ministry
• To help equip staff and expand the ministry
• To help encourage partnerships between churches and other para-church ministries
• To represent FCA in the community by encouraging new donors and volunteers to get involved
• To provide godly counsel to the staff
• To pray continually for the FCA ministry and to model the biblical characteristics for spiritual leadership (Titus 1:5-9)
• To provide financial resources and serve in an area of emphasis using spiritual gifts
• To provide input and guidance on expanding the Southwest Colorado FCA team of staff

EXPECTATIONS

Meetings

• Three year term-limit, can be extended if decided on by member and staff
• Attend the monthly meetings in person or virtual (for bad weather)
• Must attend at least 80% of meetings per year
• Invite at least one community member per year as a potential board member to sit in on a board meeting and attend a huddle

Events

• Attend at least 2 major FCA events each year (EX: Fields of Faith, Sports Camp, Girl’s Retreat, Kickoff Leadership Training, Mega-Huddles)
• Attend one FCA Huddle per year
• Board members are encouraged to bring at least one guest to events 

Financial

• Board members are asked to be part of the area “home team” of monthly donors for FCA ministry
• Board members are asked to help with fundraising efforts in their circles of influence

Prayer

• Each board member is asked to keep the ministry in prayer: the staff, volunteers, board, coaches and athletes
